Getting ready for flu season: which vaccine is right for you?

Winter is here, and this season we're offering three flu vaccine options at Windsor Medical Centre. Here's how they compare:

Influvac Tetra	6 months+, egg-based, standard option	Free (eligible)
Flucelvax® Quad	Egg-free, cell-culture based	$65–$85
Fluad® Quad	65+ or immunocompromised, adjuvanted	$65–$85

Non-enrolled patients are charged $85 for Flucelvax® Quad or Fluad® Quad. Speak to reception or your GP about which option suits you.

General winter health tips

• Keep your home warm and dry — aim for around 50% indoor humidity
• Wash and sanitise your hands regularly
• Eat a balanced diet rich in fruit, vegetables, protein and vitamin C
• Stay hydrated, and use inhalers as directed even when feeling well
